Dragons 'R' Us...  After 3 weeks of intense Junior Rep Trials, I am proud to announce that we have had 5 players selected into the 2012 Harold Matthews Squad; Luciano Leilua, Topiese Taufa, Viliami Tuitavake, Mahmoud Srour and Nephi Kapinga. We've also had 8 players selected into the 2012 SG Ball Squad; James Mirceski, Vincent Stowers, Isitolo Taufa, Siti Moceidreke, Ness Papua, Kelepi Lovodua, Heheako Tuima & Rowland Kotobalavu. We're also very fotunate to have 2 of our own Club Officials on board as staff, Joe Saukuru - Harold Matthews Cup Trainer and Karla Tatana - Welfare Officer.
For a long time now, Hurstville United JRLFC have consistently produced players that have gone on to play at an elite level of footy such as the NRL, Super League, Toyota Cup. Our most recent additions into this realm of footy are Jamie Stanley & Taylor Fepuleai who will debut with the St.George Illawarra Dragons Toyota Cup team in their annual trial match against the Bulldogs. Both Jamie & Taylor have older brothers that came from our club and played at NRL level, Chase & Kyle Stanley and Daniel Fepuleai. This season alone, we will have 3 of our juniors playing first grade for the Dragons, brothers Chase & Kyle Stanley (also a NSW Blue in waiting) and Atelea Vea. They are a true testament that dreams can come true with alot of hard work and commitment. Congratulations boys!!!
